Water-Break-Its-Neck

Even 200 years ago, when Wordsworth stayed at Hindwell, a couple of miles from the cottage and, its said, used to come to a cottage just along Back Brook (where you parked) for tea, this was a tourist attraction.

It’s about 5 miles away, down the A44 after New Radnor

There is a car park by the road, and another up the rough track (take care). From there, its a few minutes walk

If you want to know more about the immense impact on art, literature and culture of the area around the cottage, this essay will help. And it will tell you about the windfarm we are fighting.

Hindwell is over to by Four Stones, The Radnor Forest and before Water-break-its-Neck.

Maybe listen to a bit of Ommadawn by Mike Oldfield as you do. (He recorded on the hill above the cottage). It fits the place. Hindwell is the centre of a Neolithic ritual enclosure of some 50 hectares, a site originally on the scale of Stonehenge.

Then have a pint at the Harp in Old Radnor and watch the sunset and the Cradled Night of Wales arrive.
